Rise Of Planet of the Apes
Marketing Techniques:
Posters: The was only really one poster created for the film and released for the movie. The poster is not very unusual, it is a black poster with the movies titles on it. It had a few certain visual elements about it though. In the bottom corner of the movie poster it is promoting ‘Weta Digtal’ which has been known for the movie ‘Avatar’ which was a huge success, this adds to the marketing campaign of the film. And suggesting that the movie is being sold on its special effects.
Trailers: There have been two trailers used for the marketing of this film, the first being a normal trailer showing the basic story of the film and the second being a theatrical trailer which takes us even deeper into the story of how the world fell to the apes.
Online: The official website for the movie allows you to load and watch one of the trailers. There is a gallery of images which are included from the film. This website allows you to see the cast of the film and over information. The website also allows you to buy tickets for the film online to see at cinema’s.
